Die Tradition der Wiener B\u00e4lle ist auf der ganzen Welt bekannt. In vielen St\u00e4dten wie New York, Br\u00fcssel oder Paris – und nun auch in Genf – ist diese j\u00e4hrliche Tradition von klein auf ein fester Bestandteil des gesellschaftlichen Lebens. Ich beobachte \u00fcbrigens, dass der Respekt f\u00fcr diese Tradition, die auf Austausch und Teilen durch Musik und Tanz beruht, stetig w\u00e4chst.<\/p>\n

Das Konzept des Wiener Balls ist nicht nur ein Mittel zum „Networking“. Es vermittelt auch eine Botschaft. Laut den letzten von der Wirtschaftskammer Wien durchgef\u00fchrten Umfragen geben rund 80% der Teilnehmer an, dass sie „diesen Abend gerne mit ihrem Partner verbringen“, wobei 35% von ihnen auch Gesch\u00e4ftspartner treffen m\u00f6chten.<\/p>\n

Ein traditioneller Wiener Ball ist ein Wirbelwind par excellence. Nach der Er\u00f6ffnungsshow mit dem Walzer der Deb\u00fctantinnen und Deb\u00fctanten wird die Tanzfl\u00e4che f\u00fcr alle G\u00e4ste ge\u00f6ffnet. Die G\u00e4ste wandern von Tisch zu Tisch, w\u00e4hrend sie sich ein Glas und ein paar Petit Fours teilen. Die einen nutzen die Gelegenheit, um \u00fcber Gesch\u00e4fte zu sprechen, die anderen finden die Liebe ihres Lebens. Die Kavaliere sind stolz auf ihre elegante Partnerin und die Damen genie\u00dfen es, f\u00fcr einen Abend die „K\u00f6nigin“ zu sein. Ganz zu schweigen davon, dass ein Ball die Generationen und die gesamte Gesellschaft vereint.<\/p>\n

Der gro\u00dfe Erfolg der Wiener B\u00e4lle im Ausland erkl\u00e4rt sich durch ihre demokratischen Komponenten: Offenheit gegen\u00fcber der \u00d6ffentlichkeit, Vermischung der Generationen und Gesellschaftsschichten, Heranf\u00fchrung der Jugend an Musik, Tanz und Etikette sowie die M\u00f6glichkeit zum beruflichen und privaten Austausch.<\/p>\n
